Artist Statement
Edith Bergfors is a photographer based in London. Originally of Finnish descent, she moved to London to pursue photography in 2004. Much of her practise is based around ideas of human perception, and the trivialities of human interaction, as well as their understanding thereof. Adapting forms of classical portraiture, her work uses the inherent notions of value to dissect our understanding of the subject matter. Beyond her personal work, she also works editorially in fashion, for publications such as; Vague Paper, Under/Current, Car Park Magazine, Kid’swear, Baron Magazine, and Hector.
